| Description: | The Sr. Graphic Designer will perform the graphic design, print media production work exceeding standards for quality, accuracy, on-time performance and adherence to required direction and format.
Job Scope:
This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing. While the position has recurring tasks, it includes duties which involve a rather high degree of complexity due to the nature of Graphic Design work. Duties are performed independently, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A high degree of creative flair, attention to detail, a design sense, problem solving skills and use of discretion are required. The position requires a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines, taking responsibility for decisions made as they impact people, costs, and the quality of the department’s work product. Erroneous decisions may have a serious impact on the overall success of functional and organizational operations.

| Duties: | Specific Responsibilities:
•Perform all graphic design, print media production work and exceed standards for quality, accuracy, on-time performance and adherence to required direction and format
•Will work closely and collaboratively with marketing personnel on concepts
•Interacts with Marketing and Product Management teams on a regular basis to understand and communicate needs, obtain approvals and prioritize activities
•Oversee file tracking and management of workflow
•Manage the design projects within the department from concept through completion
•Coordinate with outside agencies on design projects
•Prepare files for print
•Design responsibilities include packaging, product catalogs, advertising, retail signage, newsletters, web and miscellaneous collateral

| Qualifications: | Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Strong design production skills and willingness to drive and contribute to the creative process—including graphic design, layout, typography, revisions and file release to printers
•Excellent working knowledge of graphic design principles, layout, composition, typography and color theory
•Ability to take designs through the stages of concept, execution, and published format in relatively short timeframes
•Well-developed page layout and design skills
•Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with at all levels of the organization, customers, employees, contractors and vendors
•Maintain high attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks
•Good organizational skills and the ability to focus on important details
•Ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple priorities and adjust to changes in schedules and assignments
•In depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and Photoshop, HTML, knowledge of web development software including CVS and FTP
•Work with a sense of urgency to meet deliverable schedules
•High professional ethical standards.
Education and or Experience:
•Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing Communications Design from an accredited college or university / or the equivalent of course work, study and work experience to perform the specific responsibilities of the position.
•Minimum 5-7 years experience working in Graphic Design
•Prior experience working with an outside agency is a plus
