| Description: | General Summary:
The Sr. Web Developer position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting internet, ecommerce and Windows based applications by performing the following duties:
Essential Functions:
• Provide leadership and hands-on support for VTech’s commercial web sites
• Develop code, test/debug code, and provide full development life-cycle support
• Drive designs for data base schema and tables as well as create standard processes for linking to an Oracle E Business Suite
• Document functional specifications, design, procedures, unit test, integrated system test and end user acceptance test plans and application support manuals
• Build, code, and test complex application features and technical designs
• Program middleware, back-end development, and building stored procedures
• Support the Vtech Internet servers and sites
• Development, maintenance and enhancement of web applications and supporting systems
• Responsible for production support and bug fixing
• Responsible for technical design of web applications and supporting systems
• Business requirements gathering and technical problem solving
• Responsible for testing and quality assurance
• Creates and tests the disaster recovery plan
• Develop and maintain internal web applications
• Research and design internal web solutions
• Maintain and support production web-based applications
• Maintain Linux servers

• As assigned by the Manager of Business Systems
• Install, modify and maintain open-source software for business use
• Research new technologies related to web-based applications
Job Scope:
This job has recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. Duties involve a fairly high degree of complexity due to the nature of Web- Development. Duties are performed independently reporting directly to the Manager of Business Systems using established procedures and guidelines. A certain degree of creativity and latitude and the use of discretion are required. On a regular and continuous basis, exercises managerial judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs, and /or quality of service within the functional area. Errors in judgment, time management and level of professionalism effect the smooth and efficient operation of the Organization as well as the reputation of the department ultimately impacting management and staff trust levels.

| Qualifications: | Specific Skills:
• Solid experience with Delphi application development
• Experience with full application development life cycle including the ability to conduct unit level integration and user acceptance testing
• Database experience with Oracle mySQL and/or MS SQL,
• Experience in managing full-application development life cycle
• Solid knowledge in relational database design and development including PL-SQL and stored procedures
• ColdFusion MX7/ColdFusion 8 applications using ColdFusion Components (CFCs)
• Strong documentation and debugging/QA skills
• Solid experience with HTML/XHTML/DHTML, Java, Java Script, AJAX and Cold Fusion
• Working knowledge of Oracle E Business Suite
• Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills
• Proven analytical skills
• Positive and constructive attitude
• Display business and organizational maturity
• Desire and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including employees, contractors, other agencies
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with across all levels of the organization. Ability to make presentations and develop reports that may include technical information
• Proven experience in producing accurate and high quality work
• Experience with payment processor integration preferred (both real-time & Batch processing)
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to independently manage workload and be a self-starter
Education and or Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited University or equivalent combination of education and/or experience to perform the essential functions of the position
• 3-5 years of experience developing Web Based applications
